Stanojevic: I am very happy to be in Konya

TÜMOSAN Konyaspor Technical Director Aleksandar Stanojevic made important statements before the new season. Stanojevic stated that “he is happy to be in Konya”

The Serbian coach said that “I love living in Konya very much. We have a very quiet life in Konya and it is a very culturally rich city. I am very happy to be here. I spend my time working, but I also do not neglect to visit the surrounding cities”

“I love Mevlana Museum and Sille” 

Stanojevic stated that “When I started my coaching career here, we were in a very difficult period. I didn’t have time for social activities and to visit Konya. We found the opportunity in time. I love Mevlana Museum and Sille. This is because I can feel that they have deep meanings. When we go out with our team, I try the bread with meat as much as possible, but I also need to control my weight”.

“We aim to finish the league in a better place”

Stanojevic also talked about his aims for the new season. He said that “Our main aim is to maintain the same level of success as it was last season, and to top it off, to complete the league in a better place. We want to push the top of the league this year. We also want our fans to watch a good game because they always support us. They’ve stood by us in good and bad times. I want them to support us in the same way. We want to give them victory by doing our best in the matches.”

Stanojevic, giving place to players trained from Konyaspor Academy since the preparation period that started on July 3, is closely interested in young players. The Serbian coach gave time to the young players in the friendly matches played with Samsunspor, Alanyaspor and Sabail. He said that “Especially the young players are enjoying the camp period well. Other friends also worked very well, but Mehmet Ali Büyüksayar and Ata Berk Karababa came to the fore.”

Pointing out that the feeling of fans is at the forefront in the Super League, Stanojevic said, “The Super League is a league with quality players, where the organization and level are high. Fan groups with high emotions, and especially Konyaspor fans, show a very high emotion. In the competitions of our teams that will participate in Europe, I am sure that we will be successful in the qualifiers. We could not win 5 matches after taking office, but as a result of the joint work, the team performed well and they won with good results, especially against strong teams. I did not work in 5 big leagues, but in other leagues in Europe. The Turkish league is a very high quality league and has very high quality players within its teams.
