The Athlete from Meram Won Gold at the Balkan Championship


Meram Belediyespor's taekwondo athlete Saliha Küçüksolak won the gold medal at the 24th Balkan Championship held in Oradea, Romania, where 475 athletes from 8 countries competed.

At the 24th Balkan Taekwondo Championship, organized by the Balkan Taekwondo Union and featuring 475 athletes from 8 countries, Turkey emerged as the overall champion in all categories, securing a total of 76 medals, including 30 gold.

Represented by 94 athletes at the championship, Turkey won a total of 76 medals across the senior, junior, and cadet categories, including 30 gold, 30 silver, and 16 bronze.

Turkey claimed the top spot in both the overall country rankings and the women’s and men’s team categories at the championship. Representing the national team in the 53 kg division, Meram Belediyespor athlete Saliha Küçüksolak secured the championship title.

Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş stated, “Athletes from Meram continue to be a source of pride not only for our district or city but also for the entire country.”
