The Cyclists from Konya Win 7 Medals

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club Cycling Team added another success to its achievements, making Konya proud once again.

The 7th Stage Point Races of the Turkey Cup, included in the 2025 activity calendar of the Turkish Cycling Federation, were held in Alanya, Antalya, as the final stage of the season.

Displaying an outstanding performance in both the Road and Criterium stages, the athletes of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club won a total of seven medals — four gold and three silver — at the end of the two-day competitions.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club also claimed the team trophy in three different categories of the team classification.

In the Point Road Races held on the first day, Göktürk Yüzerler won the gold medal in the Junior Men’s category, while in the Senior Men’s category, Burak Abay took first place and Muhammed Erkan finished second.

In the team classification, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club ranked first in the Junior Men’s category. In the Senior Men’s race, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club finished second, while Konya Development Sports Club, the club’s development team, secured third place.

KONYA TEAM MAINTAINS THE LEAD ON THE SECOND DAY

On the second day’s Criterium Races, athletes from Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club continued to achieve strong results. In the Junior Men’s category, Muhammed Emir Emişci claimed first place, while Göktürk Yüzerler finished second. In the Senior Men’s race, Batuhan Özgür won the gold medal, and Timur Öztoprak from Konya Development Sports Club secured second place, earning the silver medal.
