Turkey Taekwondo Clubs Championship Started in Konya

The Turkey Taekwondo Clubs Championship, organized by the Turkish Taekwondo Federation, started in Konya on December 26, 2023. Approximately 3,800 athletes from 570 clubs from 65 provinces are participating in the championship.

The championship started on Wednesday, December 26, with competitions in the men's 58 kg and 80 kg and women's 49 kg and 67 kg categories. The first day of the competitions was held at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Hall.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Turkish Taekwondo Federation President Metin Şahin said that Konya would witness the most participated championship in history in terms of clubs. Şahin said, "I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization of this championship."

The championship will end on Saturday, December 29.
