Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay
reminded that they sent the product obtained by planting barley on 700 thousand
square meters of land in Meram Çomaklı Neighborhood, which is owned by Konya
Metropolitan Municipality, to the animal producers affected by the flood
disaster in Kastamonu last year.
Stating that they introduced a new plant to the region by
growing safflower plant in the same land this year and aimed to contribute to
the oil deficit and economy in our country, President Altay said, "Under
the control of our agricultural engineers who are experts in this field,
planting, fertilization and weed control were carried out. In our work here, we
use agricultural drone technology, which has the advantage of directly
affecting the yields of plants during critical periods. According to the
development periods of the plant, we eliminate the damage caused when entering
the land with the tractor and introduce agricultural drone technology to the
region for the first time. After the harvest of the planted crops, I hope we
will use the income we will obtain for social supports."
