Konya's Youth Dive into Cultural Industries at Summer School

The "Attraction Area: Konya Cultural Industries Incubator Center" was established within the framework of the Social Innovation Agency with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The center continues its work with a common sense and planning mechanism to introduce young people to creative industries and to contribute the outputs of the art economy to the city.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Social Innovation Agency (SIA) organized a 'Cultural Industries Summer School' for young people.

The Social Innovation Agency, operating in collaboration with Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Necmettin Erbakan University, organized the 'Cultural Industries Summer School' to support young people's innovative ideas in the field of cultural industries. The program, which lasted for 2 days, included workshops, seminars, discussions, and technical inspections, with the participation of 25 young individuals aged 16 to 29 living in Konya.

As part of the project to support young people's innovative ideas in the field of cultural industries, the 'Cultural Industries Summer School' was held at the SIA Meram Campus. Within the framework of the summer school, 25 young individuals aged 16 to 29 living in Konya participated in an educational program consisting of workshops, seminars, discussions, and technical inspections.

In line with this, concepts related to cultural industries based on creative production processes such as visual arts, cinema, radio and television broadcasting, podcasts, advertising, architecture, and design were covered. Within the program, young participants engaged with experts in the field, conducting examinations on business models at the Seljuk Congress Center and the Stone Building Konya Digital Promotion Center.

The Social Innovation Agency, operating in collaboration with Necmettin Erbakan University under the auspices of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, aims to contribute to the skill development and experiential learning of young individuals studying communication, social sciences, and art with high-impact innovative projects. Through this initiative, the agency seeks to foster an environment where impactful innovation flourishes.
