Mohaç, a submachine gun produced in Huğlu District, which
stands out with its industrial infrastructure in the rural area where
agriculture and animal husbandry is made, will be introduced at the 16th
International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2023). Naci Tanık, Chairman of the
Board of Huğlu Shotguns Cooperative, said, “It is shorter and lighter than its
counterparts. It is a model designed by our engineers. Good luck to our Turkish
defense industry. Brand, patent and certification processes are over.”
Huğlu Defense Inc, a subsidiary of Huğlu Shotguns
Cooperative, which has been operating in the neighborhood for more than half a
century, continues its production for the defense industry with its original
design and R&D studies.
The weapon called “Mohaç”, which has a weight of 1.9
kilograms, which the company has completed to meet the needs of the defense
industry, has the capacity to fire 1000 rounds per minute.
“Passed through testing” Naci Tanık, Chairman of the Board
of Huğlu Shotguns Cooperative, said that “the tests of the weapon were
completed successfully.”
Explaining that the design of the submachine gun belongs to
its engineers, Tanik said, “It will be showcased in IDEF 2023. It is shorter
and lighter than its counterparts. Good luck to our Turkish defense industry.
Brand, patent and certification processes are over. It has passed the test
stages. We produce in order to contribute to defense industry exports.”

Huğlu Defense Inc. Chairman of the Board Abdüssamet Güzel
stated that the R&D work of the submachine gun took more than 1 year.
Emphasizing that they will start mass production of Mohaç in
a short time, Güzel said,”It is capable of firing 1000 rounds per minute. It is
a weapon that uses 9-19 caliber ammunition. It has reversible, right and left
crowns. This will provide serious convenience to the user. Our gun was produced
very compactly. It is very light. Currently, our gun, which is a small version,
is around 1.9 kilograms. This will provide great convenience to the police and
soldiers in the field.”
