T70 helicopter produced within the scope of General-Purpose
Helicopter Program successfully took off during test flights in Konya
Within the scope of the T70 General Purpose Helicopter
Program, a test flight was carried out in Konya for the helicopter, which was
produced and put into use with a high locality rate and entered the TAF
inventory in the past days. While it was seen that the helicopter took off
successfully, the point reached in the test flights gave happiness.
Within the scope of the program, the T70 helicopter was
produced under the main contractor of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI)
and the subcontractor ASELSAN, TEI, Alp Aviation and Sikorsky and deliveries
were made on days.
The T70 General Purpose Helicopter, developed based on
Sikorsky's S70i Helicopter, will be delivered to different users with the
production model under license in Turkey. The Land Forces Command, the Air
Force Command, the Special Forces Command, the Gendarmerie General Command, the
General Directorate of Security and the General Directorate of Forestry are
planned to be the users of the helicopter.
Konya 3. Test flights of the T70 helicopters, which were
also delivered to the Main Jet Base, were successfully carried out.
The General-Purpose Helicopter Project aims to meet Turkey's
general-purpose helicopter needs in military and civilian areas. With different
useful loads to be integrated on it, the helicopter is aimed to be used in firefighting, search and rescue, personnel transportation and military missions.
