A Different World at the Tropical Butterfly Garden in Konya

A Different World at the Tropical Butterfly Garden in Konya

In Konya, 20,000 butterflies of 40 different species are waiting for visitors.

The butterflies that are known as "scaled wings" due to the patterns and scales on their wings, although they have a lifespan of only one day according to the public, can actually live for weeks.

Butterflies, seen as miraculous creatures with their color, giving people a sense of freedom and excitement in different parts of the world, follow a fascinating cycle from the egg stage to the transition to the larva; from the pupa stage where they fall asleep to their transformation into a butterfly.

The Tropical Butterfly Garden established in Konya by the Seljuk Municipality opens the doors to a different world for visitors, with 20,000 butterflies of 40 different species and around 195 plant species in an area with a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and 80 percent humidity year-round, according to equatorial climate conditions.
