In Konya, 20,000 butterflies of 40 different species are waiting for visitors.
The butterflies that are known as "scaled wings" due to the patterns and scales on their wings, although they have a lifespan of only one day according to the public, can actually live for weeks.
Butterflies, seen as miraculous creatures with their color, giving people a sense of freedom and excitement in different parts of the world, follow a fascinating cycle from the egg stage to the transition to the larva; from the pupa stage where they fall asleep to their transformation into a butterfly.
The Tropical Butterfly Garden established in Konya by the Seljuk Municipality opens the doors to a different world for visitors, with 20,000 butterflies of 40 different species and around 195 plant species in an area with a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and 80 percent humidity year-round, according to equatorial climate conditions.
