An Information and Reception Center in Çatalhöyük

The construction of the "Information and Reception Center" in Çatalhöyük, which is the oldest settlement in the history of humanity with a history of 9,500 years, is continuing rapidly by Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay conducted observations in the construction of Çatalhöyük Information and Reception Center, which will be of great importance in the promotion of Çatalhöyük, the only work on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Konya.

Stating that the construction is being completed quickly, Mayor Altay said that, “We are doing an exemplary job for Turkey, where there are cafeterias and especially exhibition areas where all the needs of visitors can be met in an area of 4,000 m2. This building, which is made entirely of wood, will be one of the most important welcome centers in Turkey. We are trying to do a work worthy of Çatalhöyük's existence. We are carrying out important studies to improve Konya's share in tourism. In this sense, we aim to make a serious contribution to Konya's economy.”
