Two tourists who set out on a tour of Europe and Asia with
custom-made long bicycles from Spain took a break in the Beysehir district of
Konya.
27-year-old Spanish Jorge Perez Cebreros and his university
classmate 26-year-old Italian Beatrice Esposito started a tour of Europe and
Asia on August 1st from Spain with custom-designed long bicycles made by
combining old bicycle parts.
After covering miles of distance, the duo arrived in Turkey
and took a break in Beysehir. They also had the opportunity to visit and see
the historical places of Beysehir up close.
Jorge Perez Cebreros expressed to the journalists that their
goal is to see different cultures and learn more things.
Cebreros, who expressed that they have fulfilled their own dreams, said, “Young people can also believe that they can realize similar dreams by riding a bicycle without spending any money, even with just recycling.”
Beysehir Culture, Tourism, and Nature Association President
Mustafa Buyukkafali stated that the number of foreign guests they host in the
Beysehir bicycle house is increasing day by day, saying “Beysehir has become a
complete route for cyclists. They reach Beysehir by crossing the mountains and
roads, and we host them when they come here. Our latest guests caught attention
with their interesting bicycles. We also rode their bicycles to experience
them. It seems that the number of cyclists we will host will increase even more
as the weather gets warmer. We host guests almost two days a week.”
