Tropical Butterfly Garden, one of the most visited places in Konya, made a significant contribution to the city’s tourism by hosting 272,491 visitors during the summer season.
Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, a key destination of Selçuklu and a center of tourism that welcomes thousands of visitors throughout the year, maintained its title as one of Konya’s most visited attractions during the summer season, with 272,491 visitors.
With a 1,600 m² butterfly flight area, the Garden is Turkey’s first, Europe’s largest, and one of the few butterfly flight areas in the world, continuing to shine as a star of Konya’s tourism.
Maintained at 28 degrees Celsius and 80 percent humidity year-round, the garden provides a natural habitat for 60 different butterfly species and 98 types of plants.
The garden also offers visitors well-equipped facilities, including an Insect Museum, a cinema hall with presentations explaining life cycles, and a multi-purpose hall for providing additional information to guests. The museum features live animals such as king snakes, giant snails, and parrots.
