Konya attracts visitors from all around with its caves. The Tınaztepe Cave, a natural wonder, has a visitable section that is 1580 meters long, and the height difference between the floor and ceiling occasionally reaches 65 meters. The galleries in the cave offer visitors a visual feast.
The general manager of the company operating the cave, Bayram Çelmeli, stated, "The age of the cave has been determined to be 230 million years. It takes about 100 years for a stalactite or stalagmite to grow one centimeter. We can estimate its age more or less from there."
