Konya Tınaztepe Cave: A 230-Million-Year Natural Marvel

The Tınaztepe Cave, located on the Konya-Antalya highway and discovered by a French scientist in 1968, is described as a "natural wonder" with its 22-kilometer length.

The general manager of the company operating the cave, Bayram Çelmeli, stated, "The age of the cave has been determined to be 230 million years. It takes about 100 years for a stalactite or stalagmite to grow one centimeter. We can estimate its age more or less from there."
