The Spanish tourist Federig Barzaghiti and his wife Maria
Campos, who set out on a world tour with their caravan from Spain, expressed
their great disappointment at the dried-up appearance of Lake Meke in
Karapınar, where they came to visit for sightseeing. The couple, who arrived in
Turkey one month ago, took a break at Lake Meke in the Karapınar district,
where they came with their caravan. The Spanish couple, who set out on a tour
with their caravan some time ago, stated that drought and climate change are
being observed all over the world.
After visiting Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, and Konya in Turkey,
the Spaniards who arrived in Karapınar took a walk and took photos with their
dog named 'Gala'.
Federig Barzaghiti stated, “When we saw Lake Meke, we
realized that the same problem exists in our Alicante region in Spain. We
talked about how climate change causes drought in our region and Lake Meke.
People should pay attention to their water consumption, and it should be
controlled. All people in the world must be conscious. It is also necessary to
avoid excessive electricity consumption.”
