Tourists Flock to Eşrefoğlu Mosque in Beyşehir, Konya

The historical Eşrefoğlu Mosque, included in the original list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, located in the Beyşehir district of Konya, was visited by 21,801 people in 1 month. 

This number is the highest visitor number recorded since the mosque was included in the UNESCO list.

While domestic tourists constitute the majority of visitors, foreign tourist interest is also increasing every day. The mosque is considered one of the finest examples of Seljuk architecture and attracts attention with its woodwork.

The inclusion of Eşrefoğlu Mosque in the UNESCO list has also significantly increased the tourism potential of the region. Authorities believe that this will lead to the mosque being recognized by more people and increase interest in the region.
