Molasses was boiled in giant cauldrons in Meram Vineyard

Meram Vineyards, which have an important place in Konya tourism and mentioned with praise in Evliya Çelebi's Travel Book, were revivedIn the Meram Vineyard, which was opened in Konya's Meram district, the must obtained from the grapes collected after the vintage was boiled in copper cauldrons over wood fire in order to keep the traditions alive. While the molasses was boiling, the foam on the must was eaten with mulberry leaves. The molasses made after a grueling effort were offered to the citizens at the opening of the Meram Vineyard.
