Seydişehir Roasted Chickpeas has been registered with a geographical indication by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

Mayor Mehmet Tutal stated in his announcement that they closely value each aspect of the district and will continue their efforts to pass down these values to future generations in the right way.

Tutal, emphasizing the significant historical and economic role of Seydişehir Roasted Chickpeas in the district from the past to the present, made the following remarks:

"Seydişehir Roasted Chickpeas has become the first regional product to receive a geographical indication. With the geographical indication registration of Seydişehir Roasted Chickpeas, the production methods and quality standards of our regional product have been defined, and its preservation and transmission to future generations have been ensured. We have previously worked towards safeguarding and passing down Seydişehir Roasted Chickpeas to future generations."
