Beyşehir's Pumpkin Seed Harvest Reaches New Heights

Beyşehir district of Konya has become a hub for pumpkin seed production in recent years, thanks to ongoing efforts.


Esence neighborhood in the Beyşehir district of Konya has become a center for snack pumpkin seed production in recent years, thanks to ongoing efforts.


Hüseyin Özver, the Director of Agriculture and Forestry in Beyşehir, met with producers harvesting snack pumpkin seeds in the Esence neighborhood, accompanied by agricultural engineers.


Özver visited the areas where the harvested pumpkin seeds are being dried in sunlight, wishing the farmers ease in their efforts. He thanked the farmers for their dedicated work in planting pumpkins on approximately 2,200 decares of land this year. Noting that the region produces around 250-300 tons of pumpkin seeds annually, Özver emphasized that the Esence neighborhood has become an important production center in the district in recent years.
