Chickpea Support Provided to Producers in the 22 Districts of Konya

With the project implemented in the Beyşehir district of Konya, certified chickpea cultivation will be carried out on unproductive agricultural lands.

The District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Beyşehir distributed a total of 8,000 kilograms of chickpeas to 163 producers who applied under the “Soil-Friendly Chickpea Project”.

The project is being carried out with 50% funded by the ministry and 50% by farmer contributions. With a total budget of 6 million Turkish liras, half of the project's funding comes from the ministry, and the other half is covered by participating producers.

A total of 98,100 kilograms of certified chickpea seeds were distributed to producers in the 22 districts of Konya with a 50% grant.
