Fertilizer Support from Treatment Sludge

Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, stated that they support the farmer with the treated sludge used as fertilizer.

In the written statement by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, it is said that the sludge that has been treated and stabilized in Konya Central Wastewater Treatment Facilities, both generates energy and contributes to the farmers thanks to its highly efficient organic fertilizer feature. It is also mentioned in the statement that “for the first time in Turkey, the General Directorate of Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ provided the stabilized treated sludge formed in the Konya Central Wastewater Treatment Facility to be provided free of charge to the users who request it.
