Konya Plain: The Insurance of Agricultural Production in Turkey

Konya Plain, which is the leader in the country with its meat and milk production as well as cereals, pulses and sugar beets, meets %15 of the production in 8 items in basic food.

Turkey's granary Konya Plain, ranks at the top in the country with cereals, pulses and sugar beet as well as meat and dairy production. The plain has the capacity to feed 6 times its population with its agricultural production. 

Konya Commodity Exchange Chairman said that plant production is done in 2.2 million hectares of area in Konya. 

Konya ranks first in the supply of many products considered as the basis of food. The city contributes greatly to the economy of the country with the production of cereals, pulses, sugar beets, meat and milk.
