Konya Sees a Bountiful Harvest as Agricultural Diversity Thrives

In the agricultural and industrial city of Konya, agricultural diversity has been on the rise in recent years, and crop yields are reaching record highs.

In Konya, often referred to as the "granary," agricultural diversity has significantly increased in recent years. Along with the increase in diversity, crop yields have started to exceed expectations.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay shared products produced in the Kesmez, Doğanhisar/Şıh, and Meram Evliyatekke neighborhoods of Karapınar, delivering the promise of abundance.

In Kesmez, there was an abundance of quinces, while blackberries thrived in Şıh, and raspberries flourished in Evliyatekke. Mayor Altay, sharing these products, said, "I take pride in sharing our agricultural production diversity. The famous Karapınar quince production, which is in the process of obtaining a geographical indication, continues to grow. We are particularly encouraging blackberry and raspberry production in mountainous and limited land areas."
