The Meram City and Life Culture Museum (Meram Museum), initiated by the Meram Municipality to carry the rich culture, history, traditions, and customs of Konya and Meram into the present and future, is attracting significant interest from visitors with its content, concept, and social and cultural events.
Located on Dutlu Street, Müze Meram is designed to draw inspiration from traditional Konya houses. It aims to provide visitors with an experience of the city's ancient culture while also closely introducing them to the social life culture of the city.
The museum showcases Konya's traditional architecture, culinary culture, social life, and everyday items used in daily life.
The museum's rich collection features rare artifacts from the Ottoman period and the early years of the Republic, as well as various materials reflecting the lifestyle of Konya and Meram, including displayed period clothing.
Visitors can dress in period costumes for photographs, participate in traditional handicraft workshops, and engage in activities related to Konya's famous culinary culture. This way, guests not only explore the museum but also have the opportunity to experience and learn about the cultural heritage of the city and the district.
The "Meram Conversations" held at Müze Meram, along with the "Konya Baranası" events conducted every Saturday evening and the "Traditional Handicrafts Workshops," have received praise and appreciation from their followers.
