High Schools Contributed about 2 billion Liras to the Country's Economy

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer: "While the 11-month income of our vocational and technical education institutions, which are working capital enterprises, was 707 million 709 thousand liras in 2021, the 11-month revenue total of 2022 reached 1 billion 955 million liras by increasing by 176 percent"

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that in the 11-month period of the year, the income of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools within the scope of the working capital operation increased by 176 percent compared to the previous year to 1 billion 955 million liras and a new record was set.

In his written statement, Özer emphasized that they aim to carry Turkey to much further points in education with a vocational training system that trains the manpower needed by the labor market.

Minister Mahmut Özer mentioned that within the framework of education-production-employment in vocational and technical education, schools always support production activities in revolving capital enterprises in order to ensure that students learn by doing and producing in real production environments.

Minister Özer pointed out that the revenue generated in the 11-month period of this year is a new record.

Top 5 provinces with the highest revenue increase;

Giving information about the top 5 provinces with the highest income from production in the 11-month period of 2021 and 2022 within the scope of the revolving capital operation of vocational and technical education institutions, Özer said, "Istanbul, as of today, its income is 228 million 638 thousand; Ankara increased its revenue to 199 million. Gaziantep ranked third with an increase in revenue to 163 million liras, Bursa ranked fourth with 129 million liras and Konya ranked fifth with an increase in revenue to 83 million liras."
