AI in Healthcare Conferences Launch at Selçuk University

The Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare conference series, organized by the Research Dean's Office of Selçuk University, has started at the Faculty of Dentistry.

Experts explained the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in healthcare and its future impact on academics and students.

Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Tosun, Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Murat Ceylan, Faculty Member of the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Konya Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, spoke at the conference titled "The Artificial Intelligence Revolution in Healthcare: If Not Now, When?" held at the Faculty of Dentistry Conference Hall.

Prof. Dr. Ceylan also stated that he has been working on artificial intelligence in healthcare for about 25 years, emphasizing that artificial intelligence in healthcare presents a significant opportunity in terms of patenting and commercialization.

Prof. Dr. Tosun mentioned that they frequently use artificial intelligence in surgical planning. The conference concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers by Prof. Dr. Gül Tosun, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, following the Q&A session. The artificial intelligence conferences will continue until April 14.
