Blue Balloons Rise in Karatay

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca came together with children with autism and their families as part of World Autism Awareness Day. During the event, blue balloons, the symbol of autism, were released into the sky to raise public awareness.

The program, hosted by Karatay Municipality, became a meaningful gathering for children with autism and their families. Mayor Hasan Kılca showed close attention to the children and shared in their joy.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized in his speech at the program that support for individuals with special needs and their families will continue to increase.

Mayor Kılca expressed his pleasure at coming together with children under the supervision of the Directorate of Family and Social Services, and recalled that they also held an event last week with individuals with Down syndrome in cooperation with the Directorate of National Education.

Kılca stated that they act in cooperation with public institutions in all projects carried out in Karatay, saying, “We always see our special children, individuals with special needs, and their families as our priority. In the services we deliver together with our public institutions, we place great importance on being accessible and strive to ease the burden on our families.”

At the end of the program, protocol members, children, and their families released blue balloons into the sky together to draw attention to autism.
