In the statement made by the Beyşehir District Mufti, it was
stated that a total of 157 thousand people visited the place of worship in the
last 6-month period covering the July-December period of 2022 in the
measurements made with the digital measurement device placed in the
723-year-old Eşrefoğlu Mosque in Beyşehir, which is considered to be the
largest of the wooden pole mosques in Anatolia.
In the statement, it is emphasized that the historical
place, also known as the 'mosque without nails', is also on the UNESCO World
Cultural Heritage Temporary List, "Different aspects of our mosque, which
is being worked on by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to be included in the
permanent list, are also discussed. One of them is to determine the number of
incoming visitors. In this regard, a digital measuring device was installed in
our place of worship. With this measuring device, the number of people coming
to the mosque is now measured monthly, weekly and daily.
After the installation of the measuring device, the first
visitor numerical data started to be received as of July 2022. Between July and
December of the previous year, 157 thousand 590 people visited our
mosque."
In the meantime, in the statistics recorded, it was reported
that the average number of daily visitors of the historical mosque in the
specified 6-month period was 856, the average number of visitors on Friday was
49 thousand, the number of visitors on weekdays was 93 thousand 371, and the
number of visitors on weekends was 64 thousand 219.
