The Obruk Caravanserai Museum Hotel in Konya, which is one of the world's first hotels, has welcomed 35,000 visitors since July.
The historic caravanserai in Karatay, promoted as the oldest known hotel in the world, has opened its doors following the completion of restoration work.
This project, which is highly valued by the Karatay Municipality as a gesture of respect for history beyond mere restoration, aims to carry the traces of history into the present in the best possible way.
Dr. Cem Kınay, who was involved in the restoration, provided information about the visitors. He stated, "The Obruk Caravanserai Museum Hotel, located alongside the world's largest 2-million-year-old Obruk in Konya Karatay, opened in July after five years of restoration and transformation into a museum hotel. So far, a record number of guests, a total of 35,000 visitors from all over the world, have visited the Rumi Taste and Aroma Museum inside the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you too."
