Revealing the Historic Look of Konya

The Karatay Municipality, which has made significant contributions with its historical and cultural projects throughout its history, is now also restoring the historical structures that are like identities of Konya and Karatay one by one.

In this context, the Karatay Municipality is restoring the historical structures located in various parts of the district, which represent the city's centuries-old history, with the aim of promoting tourism and preserving them for the future. Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca said, "It is very important for us to preserve our history and pass down our historical buildings to the future. With these projects, we are extending the ancient history of Konya and Karatay to centuries beyond."

The teams from Karatay Municipality are restoring two old houses in Konya, which are located on Hacı Hasan Street in Nakipoğlu Neighborhood and have a history of approximately 125 years.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca personally inspected the restoration work carried out on the two historical houses, which are considered prime examples of civilian architectural structures, and reviewed the progress of the two projects at the site, ensuring that the restoration is being done in accordance with the original architectural design.
