Sahib Ata Foundation Bath, which is located in Ilgın district
of Konya and dates back to the Roman period, hosted a total of 450 thousand
people in 2022.
The historical bath, which was built by Sahib Ata Fahrettin
Ali, one of the important statesmen during the reign of the Seljuk Sultan
Alaaddin Keykubat, in 1236 as the first Turkish Bath with a pool, still exists.
Speaking on the subject, Ilgın Mayor Yalçın Ertaş said,
"The water coming out of the foothills of the mountain is given to the
pools without the need for any intervention. Hot spring water is also drinkable
due to its colorless and odorless nature. Our spa, which increases its domestic
and foreign tourist capacity day by day, hosted approximately 450 thousand
people in 2022. I hope that we will continue to serve many more citizens with
our hotel project that we will implement this year. We are waiting for all our
citizens in our country, all spa lovers to our city, Ilgın, to discover this
beautiful and healing water store."
