The concert "From Language to Language", performed
by the members of the Selçuklu Municipality Art Academy Music Ensemble,
received great acclaim from the audience in their first performance.
Thanking the Art Academy choir for their successful
performance, Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatımcı said, “Now the Seljuks have a
musical ensemble and they will continue to do good works.”
The Seljuk Art Academy continues to see the results of their
education. The members of the choir, who received music education at the
academy, took the stage for the first time with their performance of folk songs
"From Language to Language". The choir gave the audience a pleasant
experience with their performances of popular Anatolian folk songs.
The concert "From Language to Language", held at
the Selçuklu Congress Center and drawing significant interest, was led by
Bünyamin Tilavel, Lecturer at Necmettin Erbakan University's Turkish Music
State Conservatory.
Mayor Pekyatımcı said, “It was a pleasure for us to watch
the efforts of our trainees on the stage”
Expressing their happiness at bringing such an important
brand to Selçuklu, Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatımcı said, “We watched a very
enjoyable concert. Our choir, soloists, instrumentalists and conductor were all
magnificent. Let them be, let them be. Our Art Academy has not yet completed
one year, but I am truly grateful and proud. We produce great works and today
we listened to our choir and our music community together for the first time.
Now Konya has a Seljuk choir, a music ensemble. There really is a lot of work
here. Our choir consists entirely of the trainees of our Art Academy and the
work had begun in the summer term. It hasn't been 11 months since I started
working. As of October, the work continued as the second group, and our fellow
countrymen, who came entirely from you, created this beautiful community here.
I thank each and every one of them. Hopefully, these programs will continue in
the future. Together with our esteemed teachers, Necmettin Erbakan University's
Turkish Music State Conservatory is the main architect of this work. I would
also like to thank our dear teacher and his team.
As Selçuklu Municipality, we have always been a pioneer in
education, sports, and culture, and we will continue to be a pioneer in art. We
hope to bring you together with good works from now on. I would also like to
thank all our dear fellow citizens for being here today and being with
us."
After the concert, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatımcı and the
members of the protocol presented gifts to those who contributed to the
preparation of the concert and to the soloists representing the whole choir.
