International Festival Begins in Konya

The 17th International Beyşehir Lake Festival has begun in Beyşehir district of Konya.

The artist Ekin Uzunlar performed his songs at the festival where he took the stage. The event, which started with a Mehteran (Ottoman military band) performance, will take place in the festival square by the lake and will last for 5 days.

Beyşehir Mayor Adil Bayındır stated at the festival opening that the lake festival was organized to bring together expatriates and locals and to foster community bonding.

Beyşehir District Governor Mehmet Kemal Akpınar noted that over a thousand festivals are held across the country each year, and he emphasized that the festival held in Beyşehir is one of the most vibrant and widely attended.
