Many Artists Performed at Nasreddin Hodja Festival in Konya

The International Nasreddin Hodja Festival, held in Akşehir district of Konya, took place from July 5 to 15 with a rich program filled with culture, art, and humor.


The festival kicked off enthusiastically with traditional street celebrations featuring drum and zurna music, yaren gatherings, and the ceremonial town crier.


Several famous artists performed on the open-air theater stage throughout the festival. On July 6, Dedublüman took the stage, followed by Blok3 on July 8. Zeynep Bastık performed on July 11, delivering an unforgettable night full of energy and music, especially embraced by the youth. Cengiz Kurtoğlu performed on July 12, Emir Can İğrek on July 13, and Koray Avcı on July 14, entertaining large audiences each evening.


The festival, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Presidency’s Communication Directorate, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, and Akşehir Municipality, continues to keep the legacy of Nasreddin Hodja alive with strong community involvement and a vibrant cultural atmosphere.


All events were free of charge and drew great interest from the public, making the festival a lively celebration of art, music, and tradition in Akşehir.
