Konya Brings Sufi Spirit to Kahramanmaraş

Konya Metropolitan Municipality organized a Sema ceremony and a Sufi music concert in Kahramanmaraş as part of its Ramadan events.

Hosted by Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, the Sema ceremony and Sufi music concert at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center received high praise from the audience.

This month's special events beautifully reflected the spirit of the blessed Ramadan and the joy of togetherness. The program began with a Sufi music concert, and the pieces performed by the instrumental ensemble deeply immersed the audience in the spiritual essence of Ramadan.

Hymns performed with traditional instruments such as the ney, kudüm, and tambur took the audience on a peaceful journey. The program continued with the Sema ceremony, where whirling dervishes gracefully performed their ritual.

The whirling dervishes’ movements reflected the spiritual joy and serenity of Ramadan, offering the audience an emotional experience. Capturing the essence of Ramadan and the joy of togetherness, the event received great admiration from the attendees.
