Thousands Fill Mevlana Square for the Eid

Thousands of citizens in Konya gathered at Mevlana Square early in the morning to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer.

Citizens who wished to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer gathered at Mevlana Square. Thousands filled the square, listening to the sermon before standing in rows for the prayer. Afterward, they joined in collective supplication. Some also visited the cemetery following the prayer.
