Mayor Pekyatırmacı: “We Are Pleased with the Strong Interest in Our Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden"

Stating that the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden attracts significant interest from across Turkey and abroad, Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Mayor of Selçuklu, said that "With its colourful butterflies and tropical atmosphere, our Tropical Butterfly Garden welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Our garden, which is the most visited place after the Mausoleum of Rumi by guests coming to Konya, continues to be one of the most popular venues in all four seasons and has surpassed 4,136,000 visitors since its opening. In our garden, guests have the opportunity to witness the transition of butterflies from cocoon to pupa and their transformation into butterflies. The strong interest shown in our Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, which ranks among the top 10 most viewed locations on Google Maps, greatly pleases us. In addition, the solar power plant panels we installed in the adjacent area meet all of our electricity needs, providing savings while also protecting nature. I would like to thank all our guests who contribute greatly to Konya tourism with their visits, and I invite everyone to witness this miraculous journey of butterflies and nature."
