Organic strawberries grown in Konya’s Hüyük district continue to attract international demand with their strong aroma and quality. The geographically indicated product is being exported to Romania and several Arab countries, while new target markets in Asia are also drawing attention.
Organic strawberries harvested in the Hüyük district of Konya are strengthening their presence in international markets. The region’s strawberries, which received geographical indication registration in recent years, are exported weekly to countries including Romania, the Maldives, Dubai, Oman and Qatar.
The export process is carried out in cooperation with local producers and exporting companies operating in the district. Alongside foreign shipments, Hüyük strawberries have also become increasingly visible in greengrocer aisles and national supermarket chains across Türkiye.
Known for their natural aroma and quality, the strawberries have generated high demand in both domestic and international markets. Producers in the region aim to expand exports further by reaching new destinations such as Singapore and Malaysia in the coming period.
Regional producers emphasize that increasing exports not only supports the local economy but also contributes to promoting Turkish agricultural products abroad under the “Made in Turkey” label.
