International Theatre Festival Bringing Together the Turkish World Begins in Konya

The 18th International Turkish Theatre Festival, organized by Konya State Theatre, has officially begun with the participation of State Theatres General Director Tamer Karadağlı.

The opening ceremony brought together artists, theatre enthusiasts, and guests from across the Turkish-speaking world. Speaking at the event, Karadağlı highlighted the unifying power of art and emphasized the importance of Turkish as a shared cultural heritage.

He noted that the festival serves as a valuable platform for strengthening cultural and artistic ties among Turkish-speaking countries while promoting mutual understanding through theatre.

Held annually in Konya, the festival aims to preserve and promote the tradition of Turkish-language theatre by bringing together theatre companies from different countries. The program includes stage performances, cultural events, and artistic gatherings throughout the festival.

By showcasing productions from across the Turkish-speaking world, the festival continues to contribute to cultural exchange and highlights the shared values that connect participating nations through the performing arts.
