Konya Choir Wins Double Award in Spain

One of Konya’s distinguished schools, Selcuklu Municipality Fine Arts High School, received awards in two main categories at the International Choir Festival & Contest Golden Voices of Montserrat held in Spain.

Students studying at Turkey’s most modern and functional Fine Arts High School, established through Selcuklu Municipality’s visionary investments in education, achieved a significant success on the international stage.

Teachers and students from Selcuklu Municipality Fine Arts High School successfully represented both Türkiye and Konya at the International Choir Festival & Contest Golden Voices of Montserrat held in Spain. They introduced music lovers in Spain to outstanding examples of intangible cultural heritage, particularly polyphonic universal music.

Achieving distinction in two main categories, the school made a strong impression across Europe by winning first place in the ethnic music category and third place in the polyphonic choir category.

The team, which proudly represented Konya and Selcuklu Municipality Fine Arts High School, is now preparing to achieve further success in upcoming international competitions.
