The “Rumi Exhibition in the 750th Reunion Year,” prepared by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has been opened for visitation at the Istanbul Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Konya Deputy Ziya Altunyaldız, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Coşkun Yılmaz, Selçuklu Municipality Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Karatay Municipality Mayor Hasan Kılca, Esin Çelebi Bayru, the 22nd generation granddaughter of Hazrat Mevlana, as well as artists, academicians, and other guests.
During the opening ceremony, Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay expressed the joy of inaugurating an exhibition commemorating Hazrat Mevlana in the 750th year of Şeb-i Arus at the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, one of Istanbul's distinguished venues.
The exhibition can be visited at the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum in Sultanahmet Square until March 1st.
