Economic Activity Gains Momentum in Konya

Konya continues to strengthen its economic structure in 2026 with new investments, expanding industrial capacity, and growing cooperation between public institutions and the private sector.

In the field of agriculture and education, a new protocol signed between the Konya Governorship, the Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Konya Sugar Beet Growers’ Cooperative aims to encourage young people to take an active role in agricultural production. The program includes practical field training, scholarship opportunities, and internships designed to connect education with real production processes.

Industrial development also continues in the Çumra region. Meydan Group is investing in a new production facility in the Çumra Organized Industrial Zone. The factory, which will cover an area of 50,000 square meters, is expected to create new employment opportunities and contribute to regional industrial expansion.

Meanwhile, the Konya branch of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen’s Association (ASKON) continues its efforts to support small and medium-sized enterprises. Through various programs, the organization helps strengthen corporate structures and improve production, investment, and export capacity, contributing to the city’s growing economic momentum.
