Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s new Truck Terminal, a modern facility designed to strengthen the city’s logistics infrastructure and ease urban traffic, will soon open to transport operators following the completion of a 160 million TL asphalt project specially designed for heavy-duty vehicles.
The project, launched to meet the needs of Konya’s expanding industrial sector and increasing heavy vehicle traffic, has now entered its final phase.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said the municipality is continuing its efforts to strengthen the city’s transportation and logistics infrastructure.
“Our new Truck Terminal will not only help ease urban traffic but also provide heavy-duty vehicles with a more organized and safer environment,” Altay said.
He noted that the asphalt work at the facility has reached a cost of 160 million TL, adding that municipal teams are carrying out the project with great dedication to create a durable, long-lasting road surface designed to increase load-bearing capacity and withstand the demands of heavy-duty vehicles.
