Konya Leads in Energy Efficiency Efforts

The President of the Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO), Mustafa Büyükeğen, stated that they are conducting significant efforts as an organization to enhance Turkey's energy efficiency. He remarked, "With our Energy Efficiency Mobile Assessment Vehicle, we conducted energy efficiency measurements at 70 industrial enterprises and institutions in 2024. Through these efforts, we provided these institutions with the opportunity to save 178 million Turkish liras in energy costs."

Büyükeğen highlighted that there is a significant gap in energy efficiency within Turkish industry, which contributes to increased costs in the sector.

Büyükeğen stated that as a chamber, they are working to eliminate the energy gap in industries and institutions to contribute to the national economy. He emphasized that one of these initiatives is the Energy Efficiency Mobile Assessment Vehicle, implemented in collaboration with the KOP Regional Development Administration and the Konya Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology.

Büyükeğen noted that they are one of the pioneering organizations in Turkey authorized for Energy Efficiency Consultancy (EVD). He stated that they have carried out activities in 12 provinces, including Konya, Karaman, Aksaray, Ankara, Uşak, Tokat, and Aydın, and emphasized their goal of serving all 81 provinces. Celebrating Energy Efficiency Week in his statement, Büyükeğen called on all companies, institutions, and organizations to adopt more energy-efficient practices.
