Konya produces simulator for ARC Airbus

ARC Simulator, in Konya, has produced simulator for Airbus A-320 aeroplane which is used to train pilots in flight schools. Mevlüt Alyaz, the board chairman of the company, stated that the simulator is about 5 tonnes and 8.5 metres high. While stating that the equipment is a simulator for a real A-320 Airbus aeroplane, Alyaz said that: “the students who start their pilotage training in flight schools get education in such a simulator in order to experience positive or negative scenarios that can be faced with in a real aeroplane and to accelerate their manual skills. This simulator wasn’t produced in Turkey before. This is a first in our country. Simulator has become real after a 2, 5 years of work. During the R&D and production processes we got KOSGEB support”. While emphasizing that they have cooperated with industry and academia during production process, Alyaz also said that they have completed the project by having an intensive cooperation with academia from Necmettin Erbakan University Engineering Department and KTO Karatay University Pilotage Department during R&D and production processes. He stated that they already had an infrastructure and experience because they had produced simulators for Formula-1 racing cars before. He expressed that their simulator is %70 domestic production and they have already received 4 orders from abroad.”
