Konya Records Significant Increase in Export Value

According to the latest Economic Report published by the Konya Chamber of Industry, the city’s export value per kilogram has steadily increased in recent years, highlighting a shift toward higher value-added manufacturing.

The report states that Konya has significantly improved the unit value of its exports. Export value per kilogram rose from $1.63 in 2019 to $2.77 in the first quarter of 2026.

The report attributes this growth to investments in high value-added production and the ongoing technological transformation of the manufacturing sector. Industries such as machinery, automotive suppliers, defense manufacturing, and medium-high technology production have been identified as key contributors to the increase in export value.

In addition to expanding its production capacity, Konya continues to focus on increasing the value of the goods it exports. Organized industrial zones, research and development centers, and technology-oriented manufacturing investments are among the key factors supporting this transformation.
