Both the Pain and the Lesson are Huge

Both the Pain and the Lesson are Huge

The world is experiencing abnormal processes. The effects of the “Global Warming”, which was written, mentioned and reported, have started to be seen.
Conflicts, epidemics, droughts, floods, forest fires and all natural disasters can now affect all geographies like a domino rather than regional or local disasters.

By August, huge forest fires, being in Ukraine, Europe, Australia, USA, Middle East, Turkey and even Siberia, engulfed villages, towns, cities along with forests. Nearly millions of people have lost their houses because of the fires in residential areas...

From the very beginning, every natural disaster has been instructive besides the wounds it inflicted on humans. In the current disaster spiral, the authorities sneering to the nature lovers and nature activists have seen how vital and honourable their struggle is. I am one of those who believe in the awareness that what they are protecting is the future of all humanity rather than just a forest.

We can say that, people have learned to care for their health via pandemic and together with the forest fires; they have remembered their responsibilities for the environment via a painful lesson. Unfortunately, the higher the compensation paid, the bigger the lessons learned.

We can say that, with these forest fires, Turkey, as a society, has entered into a total sensitivity about its forests, which it has neglected and ignored for years. With thousands of decares of forest lands, villages and towns we lost, we learned how weak and useless the measures taken by a country with such a rich forest cover.
A huge compensation.
It is obvious that, with global warming, these forest fires will continue to increase in the very near future.

The fires, which broke out after the pandemic, have made Turkey pay a huge compensation. We hope that it will teach us to live well-equipped and cautiously against disasters with the lessons to be learned from the compensation paid.
