Four Seasons in Konya: with Historical and Cultural Treasures

The museums and promotion centres operating under the Konya Metropolitan Municipality attract great interest from local and foreign visitors. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay emphasized that Konya, the Seljuk Dârülkmülk with its thousands of years of history, is becoming a city that is visited more and more every day with its historical and cultural riches.

President Altay stated that they are very happy to host guests from all around the world every year and said, “Our aim is to pass on this strong spiritual and cultural heritage of Konya to future generations. We aim to carry Konya much further in terms of tourism with the work we do. We expect all our guests from home and abroad to come to Konya in all four seasons to discover its historical and cultural treasures."


ÇATALHÖYÜK INTRODUCTION AND VISITOR CENTER


The Çatalhöyük Introduction and Visitor Center, which was established by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality in order to revive Çatalhöyük, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and to effectively welcome visitors, was designed with the aim of welcoming guests, providing information and enriching their cultural experiences. The center also has the distinction of being the largest wooden public building in Türkiye. The center attracts great interest from both local and foreign tourists throughout the year.


DARULKMULK EXHIBITION CENTER


The Darülmülk Exhibition Center, which was built by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality in Kılıçarslan Square, is a unique exhibition area that presents Konya's rich cultural heritage to visitors. This exhibition center houses two important collections, the "Turkish Seljuk Dynasty Exhibition" and the "Turkish Seljuk Coins Exhibition."


TAŞ BİNA DIGITAL INFORMATION CENTER


Completed in 1922 and used as a Girls' Teachers' School for a long time and later used as a rectorate building for many years, the building was taken over by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and restored.


The building, which was put into service under the name Taş Bina, includes a digital center where Konya is introduced, culture and art areas, and a conference hall.


PANORAMA MUSEUM / IRFANIC CIVILIZATION RESEARCH AND CULTURE CENTER


Irfanic Civilization Research Center, which was implemented by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, was built as a social complex in accordance with traditional Turkish Islamic art. The center includes Konya Panorama Museum, which tells the story of 13th century Konya, Semahane, conference hall, workshop and classrooms.


DEPO NO:4


The Old Tekel Building - Depo No: 4, which has undergone a successful restoration process by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, makes a significant contribution to the cultural and social life of the city. Depo No: 4, a station of the Darülmülk İhya Project that came to life in the heart of the city, serves with its art gallery, cafe and workshop units.
