Konya, The Cheapest and Most Comfortable City in Public Transportation

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, who visited the factory where the new buses to be purchased for Konya's sustainable public transportation service are produced, said that the production of 31 solo and 21 articulated buses they ordered continues; First, he said that as of June 15, 11 solo and 7 articulated buses will be available to Konya residents. Stating that the purchase of the same number of buses will continue every month, President Altay said, "We are making efforts to offer Turkey's most beautiful buses to the service of Konya residents. We have not increased transportation for 4 years for our students and for 2 years for civilians. Konya will be the most comfortable city as well as being the cheapest city in public transportation."

President Altay, examined the production stage of the buses during the visit made with a technical team, pointed out that Konya residents deserve the cheapest and highest quality service. He stated that they are making intensive efforts to renew the transportation fleet by making public transportation the cheapest in Turkey.

President Altay added, “We have not increased transportation for 4 years for our students and for 2 years for civilians. We will continue to carry the student for 2.5 TL and the student for 1.55 TL this year as well. Konya will be the most comfortable city besides being the cheapest city in public transportation. That's what we're working for.”
