A Camping Area is Being Established in Konya's Historic District

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality is establishing a camping area in the region where the Apa Social Facilities are located in Çumra through a protocol signed with Selçuk University. Students will engage in various activities and set up camp in this area.

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Selçuk University (SÜ) have signed a collaboration protocol in the fields of youth and sports.

Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the Metropolitan Stone Building, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Selçuk University is one of the significant brands of Konya, which boasts several prominent brands.

Through this collaboration, the Çumra Apa Camp Area, spanning 34,500 square meters, will be utilized for various activities. Konya Metropolitan Municipality's Highschool Civilization Academy (LİMA) and Bilgehane students, along with others, will organize nature camps, family camps, and scouting camps on weekends at this location. The camp area is also planned to host a variety of events throughout the year and will be allocated to many companies and organizations for their activities.
