An event was held to raise awareness about the severe drought in Beyşehir Lake and promote water conservation, with participants from Turkey, Spain, and France cycling a 25-kilometer route.
Participants pedaled across a 25-kilometer route during the event to raise awareness about the severe drought in Beyşehir Lake and promote water conservation.
A cycling event was organized by the Istanbul Özyeğin University Bicycle Club and the Beyşehir Bicycle Community, operating under the Beyşehir Culture and Tourism Association.
The event, which included cycling enthusiasts from Istanbul, Ankara, Konya, Seydişehir, and Beyşehir, as well as participants from Spain and France, saw a total of 30 cyclists completing a 25-kilometer route along the shore of Beyşehir Lake.
The tour, conducted with a limited number of participants for traffic safety reasons, strongly emphasized the main message of the event: the protection of water resources and the prevention of lake desiccation.
At the end of the tour, a documentary featuring presentations related to the project was screened, providing participants with information about the region's water resources.
